Oh, absolutely! I can get distracted taking screenshots and wandering around, trying to frame the view so that it'd be a landscape shot I'd be proud of, instead of being "goal oriented" and zipping from point to point.
Of course, when enemies are beating on you that kind of focuses the mind, but outside of that I truly enjoy the scenery. Age of Conan and Rift are two more games where the scenery is simply amazing, and they hold up well even today. And at times like this, I miss Wildstar too.
Oh me too, sometimes I hang around areas and enjoy the sights and listen to the music. Yeah there are games that just feel right and others that are great but just don't click. I liked Rift a lot but for whatever reason I REALLY liked Wildstar. I always thought give it another try, you just didn't have enough content, that's all! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. TotA
That's the thing about Wildstar: overpromised and underdelivered. I really came around to it once I hit L20 or so and the story really kicked into gear, but there's no denying the beauty of the place.
Don’t you just love that there are so many different worlds to explore, though? Atheren
