It is Mine Now

When I discovered there was no such thing as Azeroth After Dark as referenced in yesterday's post, I decided to jump on it.

I am now the proud (?) owner of azerothafterdark.wordpress.com.

What I intend to do with it I have absolutely no freaking idea, but at least it won't suffer the fate that internet users in the 90s will remember with whitehouse.com. Or that time when Dick's Sporting Goods didn't own the dicks.com website.

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Now you can go have a good cry first....

And then cheer yourself up with a few happy jigs and reels....

  1. Hi looked up the address but couldn't find it. It is always a good idea to start a new blog. You'll enjoy learning WordPress (joking). Blogger has corrected many of the things that bugged me about it for awhile. Looking forward to the all new Azeroth After Dark.

    1. I get a "Coming Soon" when I went to azerothafterdark.wordpress.com, which means that I reserved the name but haven't posted the blog yet. I thought about getting it for Blogger, but I decided that Wordpress has a potentially longer shelf life (and more potential customization) so I went with Wordpress.

Also, given that Google has an annoying habit of either not supporting a good idea well enough (Chromecast Audio) or will yank something without warning and replace it with something worse (Google Music replaced by YouTube Music) I figured I'd better stay ahead of that trend and go with Wordpress for this one.

If Google yanks Blogger, I'm not exactly sure what I'm gonna do with 11+ years worth of posts, but I'll think of something.

  2. If it looks like Blogger is going under, you can easily import all of your blogger blog to WordPress. I did that with my original then also eleven year old blog, but now I’m running low on space because of pictures and cartoons and the usual. I’m now working to delete the early years so I can continue without paying.

    1. Good to know. It's just annoying that you can't necessarily count on Blogger being there with the arbitrary way Google does things.
