Ramblings while in search of coffee on a Monday morning...

There's been some more fallout from the Rob Pardo incident.

Rades has unsubbed.

I'll miss his voice, but he insists that his decision will not impact From Draenor With Love.

Kurn, over at Kurn's Corner, has a very in-depth post talking about how social media impact the wider world. It's close in length to a Cynwise post, but very much worth the read. There's even a Ratters appearance in the comment section.

I don't often read Twitter, but it seems that more than a few bloggers I know have invaded Wildstar. I'm not sure how well that will go, but I wish them luck.

Also, given the whole explosion from WoW-space (see the first musing), I'm not sure how well Wildstar will hold up, either.

1927 screen icon or Wildstar character?
You decide.

This week is exam week at the kids' schools, so I don't really have a lot to talk about from that perspective. I will mention that two of them rolled up Smugglers and one a Trooper, and they're all loving the class stories so far. (Apparently Corso is "soooo cute". Who knew?)

I hope your Monday has been going better than mine has so far. I really need to go get some coffee now....

EtA: Apparently my issues with punctuation include the period. Corrected.

  1. Hope you got your coffee! I remember Corso but no, I didn't know he was cute, what's wrong with me. I will say that that the people in chat in Wildstar have been on a whole incredibly nice. There have been games I've left because of the atmosphere but I don't think that will be the case in Wildstar.

    1. Yeah, I found caffeine. Sadly, it was from Pepsi Max, not coffee. But hey, maybe the ginseng in there will help my memory.

You're the third or fourth person who said that gen chat was really nice in Wildstar, which reminds me more than a bit of my first forays into SWTOR and GW2. It sounds like the complete opposite of Aion, which is a good thing to my mind.

    2. Aion and Eve I felt like it was the general chat channel in a prison for the criminally insane sometimes. Not a nice environment, didn't stay too long.

  2. I haven't had the inclination (nor time) to look at Wildstar yet. Too busy. AndI am off to find this barbarian warrior deck of yours.

  3. Ah so it's not you. I was reading a hearthstone site and the said "redbeard's barbarian deck" and I was thinking when did Redbeard do a post on that?? So I was scouring your blog looking for it. But I guess someone else out there has the same name!

    1. No, I've not played Hearthstone. I've had a flirtation with M:tG back in the day, and I've avoided those types of games ever since. They bring back memories of an empty wallet and a lot of cards.... ;-)
